Following the phenomenal success of Bohurupi, excitement is steadily building for its much-awaited sequel, Bohurupi: The Golden Daku. Actor-director Shiboprosad Mukherjee has shared intriguing insights into the upcoming film, revealing that audiences will get to witness a completely new dimension of his much-loved character, Bikram Pramanik.
Speaking about the sequel, Shiboprosad hinted that Bohurupi: The Golden Daku will delve deeper into the life and psyche of Bikram Pramanik. Rather than portraying him merely as a feared outlaw, the film will explore the man behind the legend, shedding light on his emotions, motivations and personal journey.
The sequel also promises a grander scale, with more action, drama and emotional depth. Jisshu U Sengupta joins the cast as Inspector Ayan Banerjee, setting up what is expected to be an intense battle between law enforcement and Bikram Pramanik. Koushani Mukherjee also returns, alongside several new additions to the ensemble cast.
Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Bohurupi: The Golden Daku is expected to expand the universe established in the first film while retaining its signature blend of gripping storytelling and powerful performances.
Slated for a Durga Puja 2026 release, Bohurupi: The Golden Daku is already one of the most anticipated Bengali films of the year, with fans eagerly waiting to see how Bikram Pramanik’s story unfolds in this ambitious sequel.
