A deeply emotional story about a mother and daughter is coming to the big screen with ‘Begoni Ronger Alo’, directed by Manasi Sinha. The first poster of the upcoming Bengali film has recently been unveiled, offering a glimpse into a story centred around relationships, loneliness and unspoken emotions.
At its heart, the film tells the story of a mother who hopes to pass on the joys and experiences of her own childhood to her daughter. But after years of loneliness, will she finally find the emotional connection she has been searching for through her child?
The film also explores the loneliness of a woman trapped in an emotionally distant married life. The central character, Tithi, was once passionate about singing and painting, but gradually becomes withdrawn after failing to receive understanding from her husband.
Her loneliness was known to Ena and her live-in partner, who were aware of Tithi’s artistic abilities and the person she once was. However, over time, Tithi becomes increasingly silent and disconnected from her own identity.
Sohini Sarkar and Bishwarup Chakraborty play the lead roles in the film. The cast also includes Ankita Brahma, Shubham Roy, Chandan Sen and Arpita Ghosh in important roles.
Produced by Paulomi Roy and Bishwarup Chakraborty, the film is being made under the production banner Poth Cholti Golpo.
